We recently welcomed two new fire apparatus into our fleet, and we’re excited to share how this investment strengthens your safety.

Two New Pumpers Added to Our Fleet

This year, we added two new Pumpers that replaced our 1997 units, which were nearing the end of their service life. These new trucks are equipped with upgraded tools and current technology designed to enhance our response capabilities, improve reliability, and support our firefighters on every type of call.

From structure fires to medical emergencies and everything in between, these Pumpers were built to help us do the job safely and efficiently, so we can continue providing the high level of protection our community expects and deserves.

An Investment Made Possible by You

These trucks are more than new equipment — they are a direct reflection of your ongoing support.

Because of the millage approved by our constituents in 2022, we were able to:

• Replace aging apparatus before they became unreliable

• Equip our firefighters with safer, more effective tools

• Maintain consistent, dependable service across the district

Every dollar matters, and we remain committed to being careful, responsible stewards of the resources you entrust to us. Investments like these new Pumpers are one way we make sure your support translates into visible, real-world improvements in public safety.

Partnership Close to Home

We also want to extend our appreciation to our Parish President’s Office and Council members for their continued support in prioritizing fire protection for our area.

A sincere thank-you as well to US Fire Apparatus for their partnership and dedication throughout this process. Having these units built right here in our parish meant we could stay closely involved with the build, check in on progress, and ensure that every detail supports the needs of our firefighters and our community.

Honoring 50 Years of Service

As part of our 50th anniversary celebration, we invited LPFPD4 members from the 1970s to help bring the trucks home. Watching past and present members stand side by side with the new apparatus was a powerful reminder of where we’ve been and where we’re going — honoring five decades of service while looking ahead to the future.

Looking Ahead

These new units will be in service soon, and we hope you’ll be on the lookout for them in your neighborhood. Look for our special 50th anniversary logo on the new trucks!

Our progress is only possible because of you — our constituents, our partners in parish government, and the local businesses that support us. Together, we are building a safer, stronger community, and we remain committed to earning your trust by using your support wisely and transparently, year after year.
