On June 10, Livingston Parish Fire Protection District 4 proudly marked a significant milestone with the ribbon cutting of Station 11, located on South Satsuma Road.

This new facility represents more than just a building—it is a continued investment in the safety, preparedness, and future of the growing communities we serve. As our newest station since 2013, Station 11 strengthens our ability to deliver faster emergency response times, enhance firefighter readiness, and provide an even higher level of service to residents throughout the district.

The ribbon cutting ceremony brought together local leaders, first responders, and community members in a shared celebration of progress and partnership. Remarks were delivered by Fire Chief Wascom, Robert Dugas, Councilman Magnus, Stephen Avara representing the Parish President’s Office, and Chamber President April Wehrs, who emceed the event. Each speaker emphasized the importance of collaboration and the lasting impact this station will have on public safety.

Station 11 stands as a testament to the dedication and teamwork that made this project possible. LPFPD4 extends sincere gratitude to the many individuals and organizations who contributed to this achievement, including our firefighters and staff, board members, elected officials, the Livingston Parish Chamber of Commerce, contractors, engineers, and project partners.

We also offer special thanks to South Satsuma Baptist Church and Quality Engineering for providing lunch for attendees, as well as to our South Satsuma Road neighbors and all citizens of Fire Protection District 4. Your continued support plays a vital role in strengthening our mission.

This milestone reflects what can be accomplished when a community comes together with a shared commitment to public safety. Station 11 equips our firefighters with the resources they need to continue serving with excellence, professionalism, and compassion—today and for years to come.
