Hurricane Season is Here

You can add the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to the list of those predicting an above average hurricane season. The Atlantic hurricane season started June 1 and will continue through Nov. 30.
NOAA is predicting 14-21 named storms with between 6 and 10 of those graduating to hurricane status. Of that number, 3-6 are predicted to reach Category 3 or higher.
Every Louisiana resident should prepare for hurricane season by developing a personal hurricane plan. Click below for guidance on developing your plan.
